"Publisher's Editions" are the same as the Deluxe Edition copies, only they are signed and marked with a "P" instead of a number. I make 20 of these to distribute to family and friends. These editions are extremely rare.
JOE BOWLER (1928–2016) was one of the youngest members of the famed Charles E. Cooper Studio and quickly rose to prominence as one of America's foremost illustrators. At thirty, at the height of his success, he was stricken with polio and paralyzed from the neck down. He spent seven years in recovery, regained his mobility and went on to lasting acclaim as a portrait painter and fine artist. This volume covers the full breadth of his work, from luminous magazine illustrations to portraits and paintings.
By Daniel Zimmer. 224 pages, 9x12 inches, hardcover with dust jacket. Presented in a slipcase, with a tipped-in full-color bookplate signed and marked with a "P" instead of a number by the author. In shrink-wrap. Mint condition.
