Born in 1906, JON WHITCOMB was one of the most important magazine illustrators in American history, with glamorous work in Collier's, Good Housekeeping, McCall's, Ladies' Home Journal, Cosmopolitan and many others. As a founder of the legendary Cooper Studio, whose style led the industry, and a founding member of the Famous Artists School, his influence was widespread. This book features over 300 of his illustrations, with rare photographs, drawings, original paintings and tear sheets.
