"Publisher's Editions" are the same as the Deluxe Edition copies, only they are signed and marked with a "P" instead of a number. I make 20 of these to distribute to family and friends. These editions are extremely rare.

WALTER BAUMHOFER's covers for Dime Detective, Dime Mystery, Dime Western, Adventure, Pete Rice, Doc Savage and The Spider are among the most iconic images in pulp art, combining sensational brushwork with a theatrical flair for villains, rugged heroes and steadfast women. His ambition carried him from the pulps into the better-paid slick magazines, and the pulps were only one chapter of a long creative life. Historian David Saunders tells that full story for the first time, with over 300 reproductions of original art, rare proof sheets, working drawings, reference photos and family photos.

By David Saunders. 224 pages, 9x12 inches, hardcover with dust jacket. Presented in a slipcase, with a tipped-in full-color bookplate signed and marked with a "P" instead of a number by the author. In shrink-wrap. Near Mint condition.
